&Sun offers design services scaled to each project and each client. Scope is set case by case, from hourly consulting, where the work might be reviewing a layout, developing a detail or checking a schedule before it is issued, through to full design carried from schematic design to construction administration. Every practice works differently, and the scope is built around yours.
Full design
Concept through construction administration, for interiors, architecture, landscape and site. Drawings, schedules, details, controls, mock-ups in studio and on site, and support while it is being built.
Consulting
Hourly or by agreement, for architects and designers developing their own lighting. Review of layouts and calculations, development of details, and considered comment on a scheme before drawings are issued.
Daylight
Modeling and analysis, on its own or alongside the electric design. Conservation criteria for light-sensitive collections, and glare, exposure and control strategy for occupied space.
Programming and show control
Cueing and programming for exhibitions and for dynamic or immersive environments. Scene design, transitions, and the show files that run them.
Design and execution by the same hand, with the artistic intent intact from drawing to opening.
Custom fixtures and integrated detail
Purpose-made luminaires, and light integrated into architecture and millwork, developed with manufacturers and fabricators where a standard product will not meet the requirement.
